Rooney Alice's Fresh 48 Session

It's one of life's greatest joys getting to witness your friend become a mother. When Quinn told me around this time last year she was pregnant I was so excited for her & Joel. My excitement doubled again when I found out she was having a baby girl. Rooney Alice was born on January 13th at Unity Point Health - Meriter in Madison and I was honored to meet her a day later for her first photo shoot. Both Quinn and Joel were beaming with those euphoric, exhausted new parent smiles (I can vaguely remember my own) and my heart burst watching them hold the new tiny human they graced the world with. Rooney mostly slept & nursed & slept some more while I was there, making her one of the most laid back clients I've ever worked with; seriously can't ask for a better model! As she turned 3 months old yesterday I thought it was time for her own blog spot to remember how little she was and how quickly she's growing. Those first 48 hours are pure magic and I love capturing those fleeting moments for new parents, especially when they're beloved friends as well.
